Crisp Bros and Haywards provided construction and steel fabrication for major sporting stadia including the famed Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and Launceston's Aurora Stadium York Park.


Aurora Stadium York Park has been transformed from an old and tired facility into a modern spectator and competitor sporting arena equal to some of the best in Australia.


Haywards undertook the following:

• Supply and driving of foundation piles
• Fabrication, surface treatment and erection of 265 tonnes of grandstand roof steelwork with covered grandstands now stretching almost the entire circumference of the ground

These improvements have earned praise from Government and business, and have won over the most critical of all judges, the general public, who attend in large numbers to watch this country's premier football teams in action.


Haywards also supplied some 400 tonnes of structural steel and steel seating beams for the construction of the new Northern Stand at the MCG.
