Crisp Bros and Haywards provided construction and steel fabrication for major sporting stadiums including the famed Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Launceston’s Aurora Stadium, Hobart’s Bellerive Oval and Melbourne’s AAMI Park.

Over several stages spanning 2004 through 2011, Crisp Bros and Haywards undertook the supply and driving of foundation piles, together with detailing, fabrication, surface treatment and erection of over 300 tonnes of grandstand roof steelwork .

Haywards long standing relationship with Tenova/SEMF having provided coal, iron ore and woodchip stackers for a wide range of clients over the past 15 years. Recent projects such as Daunia Coal, Wilpinjong Coal, Boggabri Coal, Mesa A Iron Ore and Queensland Bulk Handling for coal have all delivered quality machines.


Haywards have provided supply fabrication and erection of Thickener Tanks, Rake Mechanisms, Flotation Cells and Lift Mechanisms, in varying sizes for F.L Smidth during the past 10 years.
Recently the design has progressed to the bolt together type of thickeners providing the end users with a product that can be erected on site more efficiently with a minimum of site hours in comparison to the welded thickeners.

Haywards were contracted, and successfully completed, the fabrication, surface treatment and delivery of the 6 supporting legs in 2007.
Following to demolition of the first wheel Haywards were contracted to fabricate, surface treat and deliver the 14 frames making up the new circular rim section of the new wheel. The frames were shipped to Melbourne in 28 trailer loads.

One of Australia's major transport facilities, Melbourne's Spencer Street Railway Station underwent a $700 million makeover with a complete new roof covering 37,000 square metres, creating the largest passenger concourse in Australia.
Steelwork was pre-fabricated at Haywards' Launceston workshops and shipped to Melbourne. Haywards provided labour to fabricate, surface treat and deliver roof truss sections.
