Haywards has successfully conquered the challenge of structural fabrication in underground mine environments, often working in confined spaces.
Haywards offers:
Scope of mining work, steel detailing, fabrication and installation of:

One of Australia's major transport facilities, Melbourne's Spencer Street Railway Station underwent a $700 million makeover with a complete new roof covering 37,000 square metres, creating the largest passenger concourse in Australia.
Steelwork was pre-fabricated at Haywards' Launceston workshops and shipped to Melbourne. Haywards provided labour to fabricate, surface treat and deliver roof truss sections.

Crisp Bros Haywards is developing a growing reputation for undertaking often complex projects throughout Australia and overseas.
The following major projects have been successfully completed:

Crisp Bros and Haywards provided construction and steel fabrication for major sporting stadia including the famed Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and Launceston's Aurora Stadium York Park.
Aurora Stadium York Park has been transformed from an old and tired facility into a modern spectator and competitor sporting arena equal to some of the best in Australia.
Haywards undertook the following:

Haywards is a leader in wind farm construction and tower fabrication.
After constructing our first tower in May 2003, the company has achieved a smooth transition to become a major Australian wind tower constructor and supplier, based on its experience with large projects, including the manufacture of pressure vessels, bins, cooling towers, stacks and tanks.

Crisp Bros were responsible for constructing the Tahune Airwalk in Tasmania, the Otway Fly in Victoria and the Illawarra Fly in New South Wales.
The walkways are designed to have minimal impact on the forest environment and provide a unique experience for tourists.

Haywards were contracted for the design, supply, fabrication and surface treatment of 4 x 45m high light tower poles, including head frames, for Bellerive Cricket Oval.
Poles were fabricated in 2 sections and head frames in 4 to allow for transportation size restrictions.

Haywards is a leader in bridge girder fabrication, having now completed 72 individual girders across 5 bridges in various locations throughout Melbourne.
We have been able to achieve exceptional on site fit-ups whilst keeping projects on budget and to program.
Our systems make best use of 3D ACAD modeling, interfacing with automated profile cutting machines to produce perfect shapes for assembly - the key to providing an accurate final product. Whether the design calls for sections to be straight, sweeping curves or segmented curves, we have successfully met all challenges.

Crisp Bros enjoyed the challenge of firstly producing shop detail drawings and fabricating and erecting such a complex roof steel structure. There were many nights spent dreaming about the 395m of curve 2190D pipes included in the project.

Haywards were contracted for the fabrication and surface treatment of 134 frames to make up 8 roof shells.
Design requirements called for sections fabricated being up to 7.9m wide x 20m long x 4.8m wide. The frames were shipped to Melbourne in 85 trailer loads.
Tight construction tolerences required each section to be fabricated to specific X,Y,Z co-ordinates and survey checked throughout the process.
